About the Author Raymond A. Joao

Raymond A. Joao ("Ray") is a Registered U.S. Patent Attorney, electrical engineer, and independent inventor with over thirty (30) years of experience in inventing new products and services, and in prosecuting many of the same into U.S. Patents. Ray has been awarded over 80 U.S. patents and has over 250 U.S. Patent Pending inventions. Ray also has extensive experience, and a proven track record, in managing and overseeing complex patent litigation and in creating, developing, managing, licensing, and commercializing, patent portfolios covering and protecting new and innovative products and services. Ray's inventions span across a broad range of technology sectors, including, but not limited to, transaction security systems, financial systems, healthcare systems, personal monitoring devices, control and monitoring systems, recruitment and scheduling systems, smart shipping containers, navigation systems, online gambling platforms, sports betting systems, and esports content distribution and betting platforms. In addition to his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the Columbia University/School of Engineering and Applied Science, and his Juris Doctorate degree from the St. John's University School of Law, Ray holds six (6) Master's degrees in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Finance & Investments, Marketing, Intellectual Property Law, Sports Management, and Global Sports Law. Ray wrote this book to share his knowledge, opinions, and experiences, regarding his own inventing and patenting activities and experiences, in the hopes that they can serve as an example and guide for others. Ray believes that anyone can be an inventor and that anyone can apply for, and obtain, a patent for his or her invention. Ray hopes that this book will teach the reader how to think like an inventor and to develop the skill sets needed for conceiving new inventions, solving problems, and being creative in all aspects of life and work.
